Anna Rabin

Managing Director

Anna Rabin is the founder of Above Ground Advisory and Australia's Honorary Consul to Tanzania. She is an experienced political risk advisor who blends her experience in managing and executing strategic mandates with operational experience.

Before founding Above Ground Advisory, Anna ran stakeholder engagement for a mining exploration firm with assets in Tanzania. Prior to this, Anna led Dragoman’s Africa & Middle East practice where she was responsible for establishing the Company’s Africa practice as well as growing and managing its existing Middle East business.

She has experience developing country entrance, exit, and monitoring strategies – including competitor analysis, providing business intelligence, scenario planning and advice around engagement with government, the public sector and multi-laterals.

Anna previously worked as a Senior Consultant with africapractice based in its Tanzanian office. At africapractice Anna was responsible for executing mandates and managing a team of consultants advising some of the largest investors in the region.

Anna has a Master's Degree with Distinction in African Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, a Bachelor's Degree with First Class Honours in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Certificate in Commerce.
